Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Mental
Retardation/Developmental
Disabilities (MR/DD) is the County’s public office responsible for providing
residents with a coordinated,community-focused system of high quality and cost-effective services, programs
and opportunities that enable those with mental retardation and developmental disabilities to live
according to the principles of Self-Determination. Allegheny County DHS MR/DD coordinates
Intake/Registration, Supports Coordination and in-home, residential and vocational MR services.
